Part 1: Let's Party!!

"It was a smashing good time." — Koop K. Koopa (on the overthrowing of Donut Castle)

: Far away from Bowser's antics however, Mario and Luigi were about to get quite a surpise.

: Dear Mario and Luigi,

: Many guests from distant towns are hoping to meet you. There will be tasty sweets and all kinds of entertainment! I hope to see you here soon! Sincerely, Peach

: They left soon after receiving the invitation and arrived at the castle with the party in full swing.

: Say, Bro, why don't you go see Princess Peach? I'll go later. I feel like mingling for now.

: Mario never got very far however, before he was called over to talk.

: Hey!

: Ah! Salutations, Mario! Do you know Frost T. Here? He's come all the way from the Shiver region, which lies far to the north of here.

: Mario, please come visit us in the Shiver region someday!

: Hey—urp—Mario! I hope you brought an appetite! There's so much good food here!

: A wonderful aroma was drifting from the castle kitchen...

: Oh, hello there, Mario! I'm Tayce T. I really love to cook! I cooked all the food for this big party. I made all my most delicious dishes! But... Oh dear... I got so into my cooking that I used up all of my spices!

: Leaving the kitchen and heading up the stairs, Mario ran into a Penguin from the Shiver Region.

: I wish I could stay here at Peach's Castle forever!

: ... Heh.

: It's good to see you here. When you're around, I feel like our kingdom is secure. Come on, let me introduce you to everyone!

: This is San T. and his friend Po M. from Dry Dry Outpost.
: This castle is really lovely, isn't it? Truly gorgeous. So cool and comfortable. The Princess is even more beautiful than they say.
: And everyone is so incredibly nice!
: I know, and the Princess was not aloof at all, we had a great conversation.
: The Princess was well informed about our home.
: Yes, she was. When I return to Dry Dry Outpost, I'm going to tell everyone about the great time we had.
: Indeed!
: Oh, but I'm sorry, we're taking up all your time! Honestly sorry. It was nice meeting you Mario!
: Yes, Goodbye.

: Nice fellows, eh? Ah, now here we have the Mayor of Shiver City and a visitor from the Koopa Village.

: Hoi, Mario. It's nice to meet the hero of the kingdom! I mean, with the Princess kidnapped every othe—
: *Cough*
: Toad Town is such a cheery place, I hope you can-see-my-city-one-day-Mario. Oh, lookatthetime! I need to go... shopping. For... souvenirs! *Dashes Off*
: He is a bit of an odd one, that Mayor. It was nice to come from Koopa Village to meet everyone here though. Since I was all alone the Princess introduced me to a few people. She is a a wonderful lady. It was nice talking to you Mario.

: I think that's everyone. Princess Peach is waiting for you upstairs Mario. I hope you enjoy the rest of the party.

: On the way up the stairs, Mario overheard the gossip sisters talking about him.

: Oh-my-spore, there goes Mario! His outfit, it's just fabulous! It really suits him.
: Did you know that Peach has been looking forward to seeing Mario since this morning?
: I know! She's been positively restless! It's soooo cute!
: (Blush)

: Princess Peach stood in the hallway watching the door. When she saw Mario walk in she rushed over to talk to him.

: I was just resting a bit. It gets tiring, greeting all those guests out there! Nobody will bother us here. Shall we relax and chat, just the two of us?

: Unfortunately, before they could begin their conversation, Bowser made his move.

: Oh my! Look! It's still daytime, isn't it? But, why can I see the stars outside?

: Bowser! It was you who made the ground shake just now, wasn't it?! Whatever did you do?

: Yeah, that was me! I've lifted your castle up into the sky! It's sitting on my castle now! I bet you never expected that, huh? Ha! Now that this castle is under my control. You will obey me my dear!.
: Not a chance!

: Pfft. Not really. I expected you to turn up, right on cue. You're just as much of a pest as ever. Unfortunately for you, there's nothing you can do this time.
: Haven't you learned your lesson by now, Bowser? You'll never defeat Mario! Why don't you give up already?
: True, true, I've had my problems in the past, but this time is different! This time, I'm gonna win! OK, tough guy! Let's go!

: They traded a few blows, but...

: But today, your pathetic little attacks won't beat me!

: This fine piece of work has the power to grant any wish in the whole wide world! And I'm wishing for power Mario, just try and hurt me!

: Yup, just as I expected. Mario's no match for the new me. It's not even worth my time to toy with you anymore. It's game over for you Mario. Goodbye.

: ... I feel it, someone is using the Star Rod for ill in the Toadstool Galaxy. Let us make haste there, we may need to take action.

: Guards! Take the Princess to her room, make sure to post a watch. Round up the rest of the people in the castle.

: The final power of the Star Rod was so strong that Mario's very bones were broken when he was hit by that final strike. He fell to the planet below (and broke more bones when he landed). It was a stroke of good fortune that he landed where he did. If he had landed in a unfriendly village it would of been Mario soup night.
